PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE:
The teacher should allow students to review the previous week’s lesson.

MEMORY VERSE: “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:” – Isaiah 45:5 (KJV)

BIBLE PASSAGE: 1 Chronicles 29:10-12 (King James Version)

10 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed, be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, forever and ever.

11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.

12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: Some people, called atheists, do not believe in or intentionally deny the existence of God. The Bible calls them ‘fools’ (Psalm 41:1). There are other who believe in the existence of many gods and consult with them based on peculiar needs; they are called polytheists. The Bible unequivocally teaches that there is only one God who created all things, sustains all things, and transcends all things. This is what we believe as Christians. It is worth noting that we do not worship or serve the same God as the people of other religions who also believe that there is only one ‘God.’ Who then is our God and what makes him unique?
