MFM Devotional For Today 2022 MESSAGE:
One of the reasons why King David was a man after God’s own heart was because when he became king, he never forgot God. He acknowledged God so much that he wanted to build a temple for Him after He had given him rest from his enemies.
This was a wonderful idea and the intent was from a pure heart. But because David’s hands had shed so much blood, God told him that his son, Solomon, would be the one to do it.

Many of us today don’t have this appreciative attitude towards God when He has answered our prayers. Some of us even forget God totally and start moving with the people of the world once we receive our miracles. This is very bad and dangerous because most times, those blessings are not always complete. God might use just a tip of the blessing to test us and see if we would be faithful. Even King David did not neglect God when he answered his prayers of defeating the enemies around him. He knew that the enemy could still strike even when all is well. As long as we are still on this earth, the enemy will always try to hit us or strike at us, because he knows the worth of our soul and he will do anything to have it.
This is why we should not forget God when God has answered our prayers. We should continue praying, going to fellowship, continue to attend all the church programs, and participating in evangelism as we were doing before God answered us. We should not become proud and arrogant or become over-familiar with God because we can fall, and fall very hard. I pray the Lord to help us not to forget Him, in the name of Jesus.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
- O God, forgive me for being over-familiar with You, in the name of Jesus.
- Let the spirit of pride die in my life, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, help me not to forget You when I get answers to my prayer, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Let the fire of God flow into my life, and consume every unthankful spirit, in the name of Jesus.
- By the power in the blood of Jesus, I recover all my stolen blessings, in the name of Jesus.
- O God arise, and fight for me, in the name of Jesus.
- Father, let Your mercy prevail over judgment in my life, in the name of Jesus.
