Hebrew 12:2 looking unto Jesus
“Looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrew 12:2
What does it mean to look unto Jesus?
It’s a calling to turn away from the world and its dead works and turn unto the Lord to love him and obey him. it again implies devoted attention to him, to his word, and to who he is.
- Beloved loved in the lord as we run the race of faith in this life, we must learn to fix our eyes on Jesus. there will be all sorts of destructions, we must keep our eyes looking unto Jesus, it must be fixed on him.
- we keep our eyes on him because he is the beginning end (alpha omega), the first, and the last. learn to look unto Jesus.
- Jesus Christ should be your ideal model for your Christian faith life journey therefore concentrating on the joy ahead, he succeeded in fulfilling God’s plan for a man at the expense of torture.
- Faith that endures torture, and difficulties are given by the lord and when you look unto Jesus you see his glory and life will never be the same again.
