Laura Hamilton was born on April 24, 1982 in Dartford, Kent, United Kingdom. Currently, she is 39-year-old. She is the daughter of Ian Hamilton and Lynn Hamilton. After earning her A-Levels at Dartford Grammar School for Girls, she declined a scholarship opportunity to study law and psychology at a university in favor of a one-year job as a runner for Dermot O’Leary at Channel 4 television. She served as an assistant floor manager on productions like Top of the Pops, The Buckingham Palace Jubilee Celebrations, The Games, T4, Party in the Park, Robbie Williams at Knebworth, and Big Brother before leaving Channel 4 after her contract expired.

Hamilton worked as an assistant director in movies like Stardust and Harry Potter and TV dramas like Family Affairs and The Bill. Before appearing on television, she spent four years in assistant jobs working behind the camera.
