Delmar Drew Arnaud born May 25, 1973, is an American rapper and record producer better known as Daz Dillinger (formerly Dat Nigga Daz and simply Daz). In the 1990s, Death Row Records aided in the mainstreaming of West Coast rap and gangsta rap. Along with Kurupt, he is one-half of the rap duo Dogg Pound.

Delmar Drew Arnaud (aka Daz Dillinger and fka Dat Nigga Daz) was born in Los Angeles, California on May 15, 1973. He’s collaborated with some of the best rappers on the West Coast. Dillinger was a member of the Long Beach clique that included Kurupt, Nate Dogg, and Snoop Dogg.
Warren G introduced him to Dr. Dre during the early stages of the legendary Chronic album. Though Dillinger played only a minor role in the album’s success, his subsequent contributions as a rapper to Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle album quickly established him as an up-and-coming West Coast talent. He was even chosen to replace Dr. Dre in the production of Snoop’s Tha Doggfather album. Around the same time, he was a member of Tha Dogg Pound, a duo that included Kurupt, and released the underappreciated album Dogg Food. Death Row’s momentum and Dillinger’s career stalled after Dr. Dre’s departure, the death of 2Pac, and the imprisonment of Suge Knight. He continued until the late 1990s.
He continued to work as a producer, but his solo album for Death Row, Retaliation, Revenge, and Get Back, was repeatedly delayed until it was finally released in 1998 to a largely uninterested audience. In California was a minor hit on the album.
R.A.W. was Dillinger’s second album, released on his Dogg Pound Records label. Dillinger slammed Suge Knight, Death Row, and even his cousin Snoop Dogg on this track. Despite the lack of a major-label push, the album was well received. When Kurupt announced his new position as vice president of Death Row Records in 2002, Daz severed all ties with his former partner. This schism lasted until 2005 when the two reunited for the Dogg Pound album Cali Iz Active. A year later, Daz signed with Jermaine Dupri’s So So Def label and released So So Gangsta. Daz was arrested on multiple felony charges in September 2018 at his home 20 miles outside of Atlanta. Police discovered 117 grams of marijuana.
